Next Monday will see us move into our new Canary Wharf based office, it’s the small red building nestled in front of one Canada Square. This is an expanded office space based on the doorsteps of some of the largest corporations in the world. I hope to capitalize on this new location but first we need to let them know we have arrived; we are working on a Canary Wharf specific promotional video and have plans for a launch event.

This month sees an explosion in press coverage of our parent charities youth training scheme. First we had Sir Ian McKellen visit, then ITN and the BBC and now I find out that England Football player Peter Crouch is coming to our youth club on Monday with Sky News. Oh the power of celebrity! We will have to see how much effect it has on gaining the enterprise as well as the charity some real exposure.

The BBC story has been put up on their website so check it out to see how the recession is putting more and more demand on City Gateway’s training services, this in turn makes my job of creating unsecured funding through enterprise profits more important than ever.
